June 19, 2025 — Under the leadership of Punong Barangay Kap. Aleth Penus, in partnership with the Sangguniang Barangay of Alulod, Mr. Alvin Romen, Principal of Alulod Elementary School, and the school’s dedicated teachers and staff, the 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill was successfully conducted at Alulod Elementary School. The activity aimed to prepare teachers, students, and school personnel for potential emergencies caused by earthquakes, with participants practicing essential safety procedures such as the “duck, cover, and hold” technique, quick evacuation to designated safe areas, and proper emergency response.
Kap. Aleth Penus emphasized the importance of regular earthquake drills in maintaining the safety and readiness of all participants during disasters. He noted that the initiative not only teaches practical skills but also fosters discipline and vigilance among students, teachers, and staff.
